Painting Series

Here are my final pieces. I added more detail to the faces and the skirts.

This is the final series of paintings from these past few weeks. I love painting and drawing ballerinas so this is what I chose to paint for this project. I used the watercolor for the background of each piece and water-based oils for the figures.

Here is my initial sketch. I just brainstormed what I wanted the series to look like.

  1. Beautiful! I love the movement in your paintings, the dancers seem to dance right off the canvas. Good job with color and details!

  4. I really like the soft texture you used, it adds a gentleness to the elegance of the paintings. The shades of red work to make the dress stand out well. Well done.

  5. I love all the detail and the shading on the dancers! They look super real, and I love it! I like how they are unified in the way that they are all wearing red, but they are in different stances, and they are different people. I'm blown away, honestly. You're a lot better than me. :) Amazing job!

  6. Woah, this is so amazing. First off, I think it's awesome that you used watercolors and oils! Mixing media always makes for an interesting piece. Second, these poses are so lively! I can feel the movement and passion coming from each dancer. Fantastic work.
